how can you sit there
spouting words of hate
to someone honest enough to tell you what's real
as if by the truth your life would perish
so much to gain, big man
by cutting down my honesty
and lying about what proof is right in front of me
I did not ask you to call me
I did not wish to be disturbed
I did not wish to have my daughter
hear you call me psychotic
stupid
insane
on my answering machine
when I would not affirm your boldfaced deceptions
all this over a stupid commercial transaction
why
what
who
how
dare
you
still, I forgive you
your angry words
your lies about me
your lies about what evidence I have
unretouched
clear
real
I feel sorry for your rage
just because a woman told her side of the story
may God pity your state of mind
if you don't like what I say
stop telling lies and just accept the truth
before it bites you on the ass
