The centers are open the week of November 13-20th. This is a good activity to do as a family for those in need of daily supplies. There is a list of suggested items for both boys and girls in the age groups. These groups are 2-4, 5-9 and 10-14. They provide labels for the notation of for a boy or girl.
They also ask for a donation of $7.00 for each shoe box to cover the mailing of each box. Wrapping is not mandatory and you can use a small plastic container if you do not have a regular sized shoe box. Now you have a reason to keep and store those shoe boxes!
Their gift ideas are categorized for toys, school supplies, hygiene items and miscellaneous items. These include hair clips, watches, sunglasses, jump ropes, harmonicas, toothpase, washcloths, pencils, crayons and writing paper. You can even include a photo of your family and personal note.

This is something most families can do as the materials are not that expensive and gives children a sense of helping others out. I have been on their mailing list for years and find this a rewarding project.
