We have won nothing yet
That election catch is not in the net
The cause for celebration now is fiction
If they control electronic voting addition
Every free loving man and woman here
Needs to vote their heartfelt conviction
Do not let voting booth corruptions
Dictate our leadership assumptions
Counting every vote is a patriotic must
Or heartless greed cuts freedom from US

I just took some time off to recharge my creative batteries.
I have been seeing this fiction in the papers that the Democrats are going to take the House and the Senate back. It's just fiction if Diebold controls the vote count. We will see if I am right on my assumptions on election night.
You bet cha.
I do have however a bone to pick with you in the interest of being civil.
That you have a political argument to make etc that fine and I may in fact even agree, but this personal hyperbole/attack at worst makes all republicans seem like mean unfeeling jerks, and at best is well below the intellectual level of most of us, even dare I say it YOU. Patrick T is an American, as such he is entitled to his worries and commentary on the US electoral system, it is his right, for you to personally malign him/insult him is um-professional and very un cool, to me it brings what you have to say to future articles down a notch or two, and if it is done enough then most people will not bother to read your thoughts/articles/ etc... At all.
I personally have grown tired of the negativity of BOTH parties and even of some of the "other" parties representation here at gather. Liberals / Conservatives / Democrats / Republicans / anti-Disestablishment-parliamentarians / Libertarians / Bolsheviks / Socialists and Dead poets and their anti-societal excrement need not be written in comment box's here on Gather.com, save it for the funny pages… Even my article picking on the democrat/liberals was a humor piece and other then "Clarke Kent" who has lied about his sources to me an others is not personally directed towards anyone at Gather. And that piece was not even a directed attack at Clarke it just began with a joke about him as (Supper Liberal Man) thus not a personal attack on his actual life etc…
Lets become more professional and make our posts more directed towards the topics, not personal attacks. We all have the brain power to make excellent arguments, on the facts, we don't need to attack or hurt or be snide towards the writers of articles we disagree with, we just need to discuss the facts.
"Crash(*&^Bang%$Slam#Dangit" = translates to the sounds of M. Emmett Townsend tripping as he tries to climb off the Political Soap Box he was lecturing from. Not to worry EMS is on the scene. Ooff, thanks for taking the time to listen.
In the discussions of the day it is a reality that people are more interested in winning the debate rather than sharing the truth about their own wisdom. Win at all costs is too costly for any democracy. Getting down to brass tacks requires the skill of listening. Listening to friend and foe so we can find the wisdom that is out there. It's just waiting for brave souls to explore the possibilities and uncover the truth.
Oh and one more thing. I specifically don't mention party affiliation. Why, because each vote should and must be counted fairly so that all sides can agree with the process and as Americans we can stand together behind the results. That my friends is how democracy survives.
