I've set a goal to walk 600,000 steps by the end of the year. I'm a little off my goal this first week, but I'm not worried. I've got time to catch up, and a new motivating factor to keep me walking.
I have decided to walk from Ogunquit to Bar Harbor, ME -- virtually. I've mapped out a route on Mapquest.com that tells me the number of miles at every turn. At any time I'll be able to check the map and see how far I've walked.
To keep me motivated, I'm going to do some research about the towns I'm walking through. I'll make a little travelogue. And, hopefully, use my notes someday to plan a vacation. For now, it's good enough to visit the coast virtually as a motivation to keep on walking. My body...and my dogs...will be very grateful!
