Dangers.....I just wonder how long it will be before the rabid foaming of the mouth BUSHIES show up here claiming it's a Democratic Conspiracy, that Democratic subversives talked them into it just in time for the election.

This story is not confirmed, and not supported by facts yet. If it is true, it only makes me want to keep Republican's in the majority since they will be stronger than dems. Thank Billy Clinton:

The leftist media spin is that the current crisis in North Asia is the result of George W. Bush calling Pyongyang a member of the 'axis of evil.' In reality, the soft-line appeasement policy taken by Clinton against North Korea and China is what has led us to this point.

Carter met with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang and returned to America waving a piece of paper and declaring peace in our time. Kim, according to Carter, had agreed to stop his nuclear weapons development.

The Clinton appeasement program for North Korea included hundreds of millions of dollars in aid, food, oil and even a nuclear reactor. However, the agreement was flawed and lacked even the most informal means of verification.

In return, Kim elected to starve his people while using the American aid to build uranium bombs. The lowest estimate is that Kim starved to death over 1 million of his own people, even with the U.S. aid program.

GOTTA LOVE THE CLINTON LEGACY... every problem Bush has today goes back to Clinton's screw ups.

You guys are idiots. The specific nuclear issue goes back to the Clinton years - thanks again, Bill.

Hmmm What would make the President of the FREE nation call another nation part of the Axis of Evil???? Maybe because it's the TRUTH!!!!!!!!

America was a test....Just a test..... to see if "People" could live side by side in Peace. 230 years ago the experiment began. Guess what.... it worked and was prosperous, and dictatorships like Iran and Korea don't like our success here. Blame Bush Blame Clinton?????? Why not put the blame where it belongs, on the evil nations who hate Democracy.

Hey Don:
Ya puky little maggot, This has been going on for twenty frickin' years! So I guess we can all blame Reagan and Daddy Bush. Everything on the planet isn't Clintons fault, no matter what your brother Hannity and daddy "What A Rush" Limpballs say's. History didn't start and end with Clinton. What a dumb-ass!

People only need to read a little bit to find the truth. I'm not just making stuff up here... it is you guys who run at the lip with nothing to back you up.

We American's have to deal with NKorea, Iran, Iraq, Afghan, etc. Bush doesn't create these issues - but he does have to deal with them. Thank God he is in office - cuz the dems would just sweep it under the rug.

Apollyon, ya little fageler - you are correct that the issue goes back decades - even before Reagan, so why are the anti-Bushies putting it all on Bush????? It's retarded. They ignore history.

I admit right here that this is not all Clinton's fault, but you have to admit that his administration let it get the most out of hand. IMHO.

One thing spared from the debate is the prospective of what North Korea will do with their Nuclear armaments.
Wondering about it: is North Korea going to use them against the United States without provocation? If so, let me know. Until then, I am fearing the Bush administration and their incompetent intelligence because we all know what accusations of WMD did to IRAQ. Fortunately for us, Saddam never had such capability.

Dangers, I don't that is completely true. They have the ability to hit us with a non-nuke missle, not a nuke capable missle. Still, I think they know they if they got 1 nuclear bomb to hit the US, the US would simply wipe them off the map with our nukes.

Why do we as Americans have to spew such hate at one another, calling names? Will that solve the problems? No, it only maakes you look infantile. Isn't America about Freedom of speech and freedom to express your own opinions. We have a bunch of spoiled brats who never had to sacrifice anything for the success of Freedom, as our ancestors did. To be honest, in these dangerous times, I'd rather have a President with Balls, than one who just wants his dick suxed, and then says it's not sex.

Couple pointers:

1. As of 11:30, no outside sources have confirmed that N. Korea has actually tested a nuke. Remember, this claim came from the same guy (Kim jong il) who claimed to have made 6 holes in one the first time he played golf.
If he did actually test a weapon, then within the next 24 hours it will be confirmed. Do not expect any type of immediate response aside from a political letter of unhappiness from the U.N. and U.S. Any real reaction will take much longer.

2. The N. Korea issue has been building much longer than Bush has been in power. Last time I looked, all the U.S. has done since the Korean War was defend S. Korea from a N. Korea invasion. We don't control them, so unless you wish us to go to war with them, there isn't much else Bush can do about it.

The issue isn't so much that N. Korea will directly attack the US. The issue is the this lunatic state has proven it has the bomb. Wonder who they will be selling to next. The genie is out of the bottle. Iran will have it next.

Why are they attacking us? Becuase we are the biggest dog on the block. We are also keeping them from re-claiming S. Korea, which they believe is rightfully theirs. Just so you know, The S. Koreans would rather be free than return to communism.

Here's the capabilites for N. Korea as listed on www.fas.org.

Look ant the numbers and see if they are a threat. As Dangers Untold said, its the payload you gotta worry about. http://www.fas.org/nuke/guide/dprk/missile/index.html

As long as were civil, North Korea should not be feared. In fact, I sort of take comfort in knowing North Korea has nuclear armament because this may prevent any plans for a paranoid-laced invasion as was the case with Iraq.

While most Americans are distracted by Iraq, Afganastan, Hugo Chavez and illegal immigrants, they are mostly blinded by the fact that there is a HELL OF A LOT OF TENSION IN ASIA .

Just weeKs ago there was a coup in Thailand, which I'm sure didn't please China and it obviuosly didn't please the U.S.

China would love to take over Taiwan. Also China has been building up it's military, and for what ? hmmm . A fiend of mine who just got out of the U.S. Navy told me that China has been buying nuclear subs from Russia .

And now we have this supposed nuclear test by North Korea, which is a slap in the face to China, Japan and South Korea ( face is very important to Asians, and wars have been started over that very issue ).

Asia is a ticking timebomb, and if there ever is a World War Three, it very well may start in Asia.

Um. I agree with the people who say dubya is a coward and a hypocrite. And I agree that his remark about "the axis of evil" was stupid and probably resulted in the Korean nuclear test. When you call people evil you make them pretty unhappy, and scared, too. Calling people evil is not a good thing for a president to do.

Don Hall, if you want to do something good for America, why don't you tell your republican friends that if they don't stop messing around with children they can go to prison. By the way, what Clinton did doesn't matter in this, she was an adult...and it was her idea to begin with.

I'd rather have a President with no balls at all, especially if she has a good heart.

An official at South Korea's seismic monitoring center confirmed a magnitude-3.6 tremor felt at the time North Korea said it conducted the test was not a natural occurrence. The official spoke to The Associated Press on condition his name not be used, because he was not authorized to talk about the sensitive information to the media.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said that information still needs to collected and analyzed to determine whether North Korea truly conducted its first nuclear test.

U.S. and South Korean officials could not immediately confirm the report.

South Korea's Defense Ministry said the alert level of the military had been raised in response to the claimed nuclear test.

The North said last week it would conduct a test, sparking regional concern and frantic diplomatic efforts aimed at dissuading Pyongyang from such a move. North Korea has long claimed to have nuclear weapons, but had never before performed a known test to prove its arsenal.

The North's official Korean Central News Agency said the underground test was performed successfully.

"It marks a historic event as it greatly encouraged and pleased the ... people that have wished to have powerful self-reliant defense capability," the KCNA statement said.

"It will contribute to defending the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in the area around it."

South Korean intelligence officials said the seismic wave had been detected in North Hamkyung province, according to South Korea's Yonhap news agency. It said the test was conducted at 10:36 a.m. (9:36 p.m. EDT Sunday) in Hwaderi near Kilju city on the northeast coast, citing defense officials.

North Korean scientists "successfully conducted an underground nuclear test under secure conditions," the KCNA report said, adding this was "a stirring time when all the people of the country are making a great leap forward in the building of a great prosperous powerful socialist nation."

The U.S. Geological Survey said it had detected no seismic activity in North Korea, although it was not clear whether a blast would be strong enough for its sensors.

On Sunday night, U.S. government officials said a wide range of agencies were looking into the report of the nuclear test, which officials were taking seriously.

South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun has convened a meeting of security advisers over the issue, Yonhap reported, and intelligence over the test has been exchanged between concerned countries.

Kyodo News agency reported that the Japanese government has set up a taskforce in response to reports of the test.

The North has refused for a year to attend international talks aimed at persuading it to disarm. The country pulled out of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty in 2003 after U.S. officials accused it of a secret nuclear program, allegedly violating an earlier nuclear pact between Washington and Pyongyang.

Speculation over a possible North Korean test arose earlier this year after U.S. and Japanese reports cited suspicious activity at a suspected underground test site.

While Danger and Ghostie head off to the homo room let me just say that Bush approval ratings are up.

A Rasmussen poll released Thursday show President Bush's approval rating at 47%. This is up from earlier Gallup poll findings of 42% that were completed 7 September.

This is an important news story and the comments are typical of this election cycle. The left is blaming Bush and being incredibly nasty while the right points out that this mess started a long time ago and blames Clinton.

Given the danger this development poses to our country and our lives, couldn't there be a civil discussion of the issue without a lot of nastiness and namecalling? Shouldn't we just try and figure out what to do next no matter WHO is to blame?

And quite frankly, the ones that shold be blamed for things like this and 9/11, are the people who committed the acts.

Don, don't get your hopes up. I'm not going to the "homo room", LOL, you can wait there as long as you like but I'm not coming. And don't try calling out for pizza, the delivery boys have all been warned. They think you are friends with Foley.

What is it about Bush that inspires so much vapid worship from fools? He really doesn't have that much charisma, and his actions have been uniformly destructive. Do you just admire him for his money?

Don: Answer my question CHICKEN HAWK!
So what did you do? Sit your ass at home while everyone fought for you? That's why your so loyal to Bush. You wanna grow up to be just like him huh? And what you buy is of little concern to me chicken hawk.

YOU'RE STILL A NEO-REICH-WING HYPOCRITE. YOUR CREDIBILITY WENT DOWN THE TOILET WHEN YOU BLAMED CLINTON FOR THIS MESS, AND THEN LATER SAID THAT WE ALL NEED TO STAND TOGETHER.

President Bush has all the balls in the world to send other peoples children to war, but when it was his turn he had Daddy Bush cover for him in the National Guard. Of course he was needed here to help run Reich-wing campaigns. This administration is nothing but a bunch of chicken hawks that haven't gotten a single foriegn policy strategy right yet. Why the hell would you still follow such a loser? Oh yeah..thats right, I forgot. {Must march in lock-step... Must march in lock-step... Must march in lock-step... Must march in lock-step... Appolyon, I doubt u ever did Vietnam, cuz if you did, u'd definitely have a hardon against the Democrats who kept us in that mess. This is not even cl,ose to the same as Vietnam. Go back to history class.

Bush could not clean up his own wet panties. Contact Yale, ask security how many nights they found him PASSED OUT under a street lamp. I know of at least TWO OCCASSIONS!

Face it, his entire presidency is a failure, Condi Rice is a failure, Cheney is a failure, Rumsfeld is a failure, the war in Iraq is a failure, and under Bush it looks like two of his three axis of evil are going to have the BOMB.

Goes to show how those that support a culture of crime corruption and pedophilia, which is the cesspool we call the republican party, think it takes balls to send others kids into a profit war. The right believe what they are told even if all evidence points to the opposite. The cowards in the administration have proven to be so incompetent that they are imploding as we speak. Get out and vote Pariots, the American intelligence community has concurred that theBush administration is mking us less safe. and the American peolple will back this up at hte polls! Nelson r u alright, the trade towers were first attacked during Clintons term 1993. That is American soil, my friend, and nothing was done to prevent them from coming back to finish the job. 1993 to 2001. Do the Math.

As for corruption and perversion, it knows no political bounds, my friend. Both sides of the alley have been caught with their pants down.

Rosa:
He said nothing bad about me, he fought your Republican President to get this conflict put down. Telling the truth is not a Republican trait, I guess you'd not understand it

Mark:
I know what a, (learn to spell), euphemism is. You still haven't said what qualifies you as a spokesman for what any terminology is in the Air Force. For in the Air Force only pilots are called "Fliers" numb nuts. I was Security Specialist G.B. Have any idea what that is Bullwinkle? What flight or squadron were you ever in? Having friends in the service doesn't qualify you for dink.

And D-D-D-Don:
You're a sheep that follows the likes of "What A Rush" Limpballs and Bill O'Really. So I will repeat...

YOU'RE STILL A NEO-REICH-WING HYPOCRITE. YOUR CREDIBILITY WENT DOWN THE TOILET WHEN YOU BLAMED CLINTON FOR THIS MESS, AND THEN LATER SAID THAT WE ALL NEED TO STAND TOGETHER. AS IS PROVEN IN THIS VERY DISCUSSION THREAD.

Bush had the whole countries allegiance after 9/11 and through Afghanistan. He blew it when he took us to war for personal and his oil companies values in Iraq.
We'll pull together when we get this whack job out of the Presidency.

Grow up and get yourself educated. The Kurds, to the tune of some 300,000, were wiped out by weapons of mass destruction. Or are you a bigot, too, don't care about Kurds, and don't count that mass destruction tool as a wmd?

you are right Rosa ,technically i meant from the forties to the 90's when we were attacked by Bush's family friends in 93 the perpetrators were held to account and were bought to justice and we know who's fault that was it was daddy bush who had just left office. sor for the whole eight years of Clinton we didn't get attacked . Get back to me after eight years without an attack and see how much more Bush has brought to us. meanwhile keep voting for the party of crimninals and pedophiles !
