I have to admit I watch a lot of Television, probably much more then I should...I enjoy many aspects of TV viewing from mysteries to dramas and , e-gads. even reality TV...But lately some of the best TV viewing has been the late night talk shows.
The first 30 minutes of David Letterman has been so right on lately I can't wait each night to see just what he is going to say about George Bush, his comedic bits are hilarious, especially one routine that focuses on speeches given by past presidents, always ending with Bush and his ineptitudes and inability to speak.. Jay Leno usually has a few good pokes at Bush too but he is a bit more politically correct...
Speaking of which, Bill Maher's show on HBO this past Friday night had me in stitches...Robin Williams was on with Richard Clark, and the Republican representative from my fair state, who I can't stand...needless to say the discussion was quite interesting...he also had Chris Mathews and a televised interview with John Kerry...Maher's final two minutes is always rip-roaring.
Another of my favorites is Jon Stewart's show on Comedy Central...every night you can be sure of being entertained at the political humor he and writers come up with. Certainly deserving of the Emmy awards he just received..
So, if the political situation has you down at times like it has me, watching these shows is sure to be uplifting, even if only for a few minutes each night, to get you through the news of the following day..

Lori, I enjoy BBCA lately too...different humor yes, but like you said right on! They also have great mystery shows.
My favorit of all time is "Absolutely Fabulous" I was once very addicted. I watched it 3 times a day when I was in Riyadh. And on my way back to USA, I stopped in London, and bought $300 worth of AB FAB tapes, only to find they only worked in the VCR I left in SAudi Arabia. I still have them if anyone has those funny foreign VCR's.
