masks hide vulnerability.

whenever I see the california girl style, blonde hair, tan, big boobs I see a mask hiding a person.

Perhaps being vulnerable is why they choose the style?

I'm with Richard here; just want to add that masks are so prevelant we couldn't survive without them for we'd be too vulnerable . Even humor is a mask for pain. Thought provoking poem.

Yes, we all need masks at one time or the other. Sometimes more than others. We need masks from ourselves too. Becos sometimes we cannot face ourselves. There was a time I felt just this way. But have got over it.
