Etsy -- Here I Come!

I did it! I set up an account on Etsy. It just seemed so worth the minimum risk. I did a lot of browsing on the site to find artists who sell items similar to mine, how much they are able to sell pieces for, etc. For the art I want to sell, it seems like I have a pretty good shot. It would be nice to be able to have an instant outlet not only for what I create, but for photo cards I've made with my brother's nature photography, and for art supplies I WAY over bought. I'm trying items in all three categories to see how things go.

I just stopped by @ your etsy site...your nature cards are beautiful. I'm in the process of setting up a shop there. I love finding creative people & their wares. Your work is terrific!

I haven't done well on Etsy at all. But I haven't tried to advertise my page, either. I made one sale of an art supply since I made this post. I have heard from most people on Etsy that you need to do your own promotions or you won't get the sales. I'm thinking, if I need to do my own promotion anyway, I might as well be promoting my own website and not give my profits away to another site.
