BREAKING NEWS: Fox News Had Foley Emails, Refused Publishing Them

In news guaranteed to disappoint Fox News Channel viewers we now learn that Fox News had the memos, IMs and emails and refused to publish them. It seems the only network that never got the emails and IMs was CNN.

We now have a new twist in the attempt to pin this scandal on Democrats who "didn't come forward about Foley's pedophilia."

What next? Wouldn't it just be best if Hastert resigned and stopped the bleeding?

This sure discredits Hannity who has been trying to pin this whole scandal on the Democrats since last Friday, trotting out one conspiracy theory after another....sure he will try to spin that reality.

The scandal is just another page in the book of the overall corrption in government. We won't see any real reform, or honesty, unless we accept the fact that this two party system is not working any longer. With no true representaion in our congress or senate, it seems as though the apathetic have real grounds for their denial of our electoral system. I would like to see them all resign.

I just hope they keep it up. This cr*p is so indefensible to honest moral individuals, that the more they try to defend these reprobates, the more the "fairly unbalanced" network suffers.

Not surprising. I wonder if this will herald a new era of major media casting a story into the blogosphere in hopes of reeling in more news. That was pretty smart of Ross. But they didn't get the additional, more graphic IMs until pages sent them to them, correct?

It was my understanding that ABC had them through investigative reporting just prior to exposing the initial e-mails, but didn't release them right away so as to try and get them verified.

It seems to me that if anyone or any entity has documentation supporting belief that illegal activity was occuring, or about to occur, then that doucmentation should have been turned over to law enforcement. It further seems that to not do so would make one an accessory to that purported activity. Maybe there is no law that mandates a person or entity from reporting commission of a crime or a planned commission of a crime.

It's never the crime: it is the cover up.

The Republicans have been caught with their pants down on this one and they can't pin it on the Democrats. I truly believe that if the Democratic leadership knew of this earlier, it would have come out earlier.

I say let them continue their immoral and wicked ways, the American people will finally see through the layers of B.S.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

And I also hope that Denny Hastert continues to fight to keep his leadership post. It only furthers the hypocrisy, which again the American people will see.

I know, they have finally FORCED the American people to choose the Dems. Because God knows they would not be choosing them if the Republicans were anything but putting their foots in their mouths. After all of the messes, and all of the scandals, the Dems finally have a chance. But they will most likely blow it like they did in 2004.

This is silly.... Fox had the first set of e-mails just like CNN and everyone else. Nobody thought they warrented printing. The criminal here is the guy that kept the second set of e-mails and the IM's from the public.

There may be a real smoking gun now though.... its seems Foley did have sex with one of his pages!!!! Granted he was 21 at the time, so there still wouldn't be any laws broken. However it does show that the abuse of power was more significant than what had been reported.
