It started as another beautiful autumn day

Warm air and sunshine

Putting giggles on little girl's faces

Just a little walk and they

Would be there at their

One room Amish schoolhouse

No safer place on earth

Who could know it was an appointment

For death

On such a bright, sunny day

Tragedy  waits

While they take their places

In the one room Amish schoolhouse

Horrified little girls and boys

A nation in shame

On this bright and sunny day

The horrid news came

Spastically and spread

 All over the nation

We're killing our finest, most

Trusted, and question

 How could a worse evil ever find them?

Until that gun was shooting

Little girls in a

One room Amish schoolhouse

Why did a

 Crazed sick bully 

Find this place to die?

Oh, God, tell me why?

Those brave little girls

 Bargaining for their life

So younger ones could live

So they could go to school and play again 

In their one room Amish school house

Now they are buried in white

safe in God's arms

The slain girls' killer is dead

And his wife, invited

To the funerals 

I want to forgive like the Amish: God has two thrones: one in the highest heaven, the other in the lowliest heart.
