Last week Gather introduced a daily poll on the home page, and response has been great. Questions have ranged from questions about the upcoming elections, to childhood obesity, to the travel restrictions. Upcoming polls may cover movies, TV, food, or writing. We will be creating these daily, and hope that you will take the time to log in and vote. Once you vote, you will see the current results. Come back to the home page during the day by clicking on the Gather logo and you will see the progress the poll has made. It's a great chance to gauge the perspective of the Gather community, and will become more telling the larger the number of votes.
The polls run from 6am to 6am every weekday morning, and one poll runs all weekend long. The results are published once the poll closes, to the group "Gather Conversation Starters" at gatherdaily.gather.com. You'll also find a new topic for discussion in that group each day, titled "Today's Topic," which is a chance for Gather members to join a discussion about topics in the news.
Please take a look at the polls and the results, and join the group. And as always, please give us feedback, since we will be adding to the polling feature on a regular basis.
