A photographic walk along the Superior Hiking...

It looks like our old dog needs some encouragement to take a hike today but don't let appearances fool you. She's been barking her head off, so anxious she is to get going. It's just that sometimes she needs to get some loving.

She's not back to resting. She wants you to know that she's only sitting here so I can take her picture in this nest of color.

We have to stop as well to catch the sky that fallen leaves reveal.

The view from the top was worth it. We've captured it on a warm and sunny day before the color disappears.

Absolutely gorgeous, Beryl. We haven't got this 'deciduous leaves falling' phenomenon much here in sunny Andalusia yet this fall, so seeing this was a real treat, and reminded me of the last time I was on the East Coast, in Amherst, Massachussets, a couple of years ago. Glorious colors, I envy you this walk!

Wait till you see the ones we took after the hike as we took the Fall Colors Drive in Schroeder to Tofte! Coming up soon. Just can't get to it yet. Oh yes, and the young eagle that sat facing the lake on the rocks (in front of my window). He sat there for 1/2 hours just looking around. Resting?

Thanks for sharing! I miss "Da Range". More color than I seen in a long time. Afghanistan doesn't have so much for colors, but it does have a goodly amount of snow at elevation.

The colors seem ever so much richer than what I see around here. The best colors I saw was one Columbus Day weekend we drove to Montreal via NH and Vermont...SO beautiful...Right near my house, this year, we don't see much, uncharacterisctically so...Usually we have a festival of colors with all the maples around.
