its kinda funny all the clues point to him but the jury still let him go free. what has this world come to. you can get away with murder if you have money now. i still think he did it.

Of course he did it. Everyone knows he did it. I think that was the beginning of the loss of faith in our justice system.
It makes me sick that he is out golfing, and Nicole and Ron are dead.

OJ got off because the jury had the power to let him go free, Look at the jury.

He will pay the maker.

And this caper helped to make Johnnie Cockhead, er, Cochran an icon.
There is still time for some horrible tragedy to befall him before he dies. We can only hope.

I remember that day and the shock I felt when the not guilty verdict came back. I had watched the entire trial on Court TV. I believe justice was not served in this case and it makes me sick to see OJ walking around a free man.

The O.J. Simpson trial proved if you have enough money and can buy a great defense team you can get away with murder.

IIRC the problem was that the prosecution did a lousy job. At the time I remember thinking I would have voted the same way as the jury if all I had to go on was the evidence presented at the trial.

Right, isn't that what it comes down to? How well the evidence is presented and if you believe beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it? I think he was guilty. If the prosecution hadn't botched it up then he would have been convicted. Wasn't he later sued in a civil case by Nicole's parent's? Isn't the burden of proof not as heavy in civil cases and wasn't he found liable? I am not sure. The details are all so hazy.

He has guilty written all over his face back then and still does......His time will come.....

Who cares if he did it or not....the worst part of it all is that people still care about it that much to make such a big deal out of it.....

I watched the verdict while at work, in a room full of people. When they announced that they had found him "not guilty", the white people in the room were outraged and the black people left the room very quietly. There were some who felt it was a vindication of justice, that a black man could be found innocent of killing a white woman. A very sad day for us all. I think the turning point was when Cochran made eye contact with the jury, flanked by his very large bodyguards, and sai "You know me and I know you.We're not gonna forget each other..." I believe that was a direct threat. It wasn't all about "if it doesn't fit you must acquit." It was about "Do you want your family to be safe when you leave here?" I was astonished that it wasn't declared a mistrial - I guess nobody wanted to have to go through it all over again. Remember how fixated everyone was on that trial? I knew people (retired people) who watched the coverage all day long, not wanting to miss a minute. This was more than a murder case. The justice system has been ineffective many times before, and everyone knows money counts for a lot. This was a total debacle. Ito should not have allowed TV coverage of the trial. My own father thought that OJ must be innocent because he was such a good athlete. Nicole is dead and there is nothing that can be done for her now...but I feel very sorry for the children.

It still upsets me that OJ got off because the prosecution did not do their job. Definitely NOT our judicial system at its best.

It is amazing what things you remember clearly and what other things you don't. I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news that he got off, and I'm pretty forgetful (gotta write EVERYTHING down).
