Today is my birthday and my drivers license expired tomorrow so I went today to renew. I got to the Question If I was a registered voter. Clicked yes. Next they asked did I want to change affiliates? I actually caught myself questioning myself. I paused and clicked Republican.
After this past couple months I stopped to think about things I have been disappointed in, in our current administration.
I just wanted to stress the point I think I am not alone here.

Part of the problem is those elected that tend to prove the ills of our governmental system all too true- The Chapaquidics, The Viet Kerries, Clintoons and the likes of Florida's Gay E-mail fancier... The lingering fact that we [and I use "we" VERY loosely] vote them back into office simply amazes me.
The parties don't suck.
They blow pipe.
I have to agree though- the political side of things can wait- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Some information for you, just this week on Gather, I learned that President Bush, way back in March of 2005 has signed an agreement to eliminate the borders between the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, to issue identification that allows free movement from Mexico to the U.S. and Canada, To set up a court for certain cases, (separate from U.S., Canada, and Mexico current courts), to share border security (this is the one border to encompass all three nations) many other provions all to be in place by 2010. Only 4 years away.
No public disucssion
No discussion in Congress
But yes, vote for them. This agreement is already signed, in process of being implemented, re-elect the congressmen and then another Republican President,
It might be the last U.S.A. National Election.

It is Unbelievable that this has not been in the news.

These are not opinion columns, nor are they blogs. They are official .gov documents.
Happy Birthday!
i feel like the bush administration are RINOS. i feel like a party of one. i'm a fiscal conservative and a social liberal.
i believe in the republican principles but i think hardly any republicans even know what the republican principles are. they seem like a bunch of social conservatives, fiscal liberals. and that's about the opposite of me.
the democrat party doesn't fit me well either.
i think the libertarians have too wild of a philosophy for me and transition to such an economy would be brutal. we might not survive, lol.
i used to be pretty active, was a moderate republican. not now. i don't feel right about being a precinct committeeperson and carrying literature. i don't volunteer for campaigns much anymore, even though i used to be a campaign manager. i don't like to be bullied, so i don't go to party events.
if the republican party ever becomes relevant to me, i will be there. until then, i will vote faithfully but not necessarily republican.
It is further interesting that you select that comment to quibble over while Allen P. seems overly harsh and cruel about Janet just questioning the state of things. All I was suggested she do is become more informed and more active in knowing her representatives on various governmental levels. I do not see how that advice could be interpreted as anything else than what it is.
Overall, I was stating that a two team political attitude is stupid.
many balloons, many smiles, and few candles to wish upon.
