Favorite Boston Restaurants by Category?

What are everybody's favorite restaurants in the following categories? To be fair I've named mine- but I'm open to suggestions :) These are by no means my definitive responses as I have many more restaurants to try in Boston before I can finally decide.

1) Italian --> Monica's (Richmond St, North End)

2) Mexican --> Tie- La Paloma (Quincy) and Casa Romero (Boston- Gloucester Street)

3) Comfort Food --> The Fireplace (Brookline)

4) French --> Aujourd'hui (Boston- Four Seasons)

6) Asian --> Penang (Maylaysian, Boston )

7) Vegetarian --> Buddha's Delight (Asian buffet, Boston)

8) Steakhouse --> Abe and Louis (Boston)

9) Breakfast --> North Street Grille (North End, Boston)

10) Pizza --> Upper Crust (Multiple Boston locations)

For American/comfort food: Stephanie's on Newbury and for a "fast" lunch, Finagle-A-Bagle (all over town).

I've only had tastings at Aujourd'hui through their Epicurean Evening program, they are great. Craigie St. Bistro is also a favorite in that category.
