I dreamed that I was still living at home with my parents. It was the Chinese New Year's Eve. There were different celebration events going on everywhere. Our family decided to go enjoy a Chinese Opera at the open theatre before dinner. My parents dropped me off to get the seats, and they went to park the car. So I entered and grabbed 3 seats.
Some preview commercials were being projected on the screen before the actual play started. The screen looked like those in "Minority Reports" or some other futuristic movies. So, I was able to instantly stop and rewind when I saw an advertisement that was interesting to me. It was an ad for a new Chinese Opera, and to celebrate the New Year, it was offered free from the Chinese New Year's Eve through the third day into the Chinese New Year. The first showing was at 10 PM on New Year's Eve, so it would be right after the show that we were going to watch.
My parents entered the theatre from the parking lot, and found me. I did not have time to tell them about the new show I found, because our show was just about to start. We watched the show, and everyone was hungry. So my father took us to a restaurant. At dinner I told them about the new show that was offered for free. I said it would have been easier if we could just stay after our show, but we were hungry. So we decided to come back on the next day.
However, the next day (Chinese New Year), some political turmoil happened. We had to stay home to avoid getting in trouble. Things calmed down in about 2 days. By the time we could stop and think about anything else, it was the third day into the New Year. The new Chinese Opera was still on my mind, so I mentioned it to my mother again. I really wanted to catch one of the two last showings. My mother was still hesitant, so I decided to go by myself.
The dream ended and I never watched my show.
