Just Avoided an Accident!

....it sounds like your guardian angel was working overtime today! I'm glad you avoided a horrid experience!

Susan - Actually I think my angel is my baby! I don't want to jinx it (knock on wood) but a lot of things have been going better than I had expected or better than it could have been, ever since I am pregnant. :-)

I agree. One time this guy backed right into us and almost ran my nephew and I over when I was pushing him in a stroller. When my BIL (ex now) hit his SUV he threatened to call the cops on us saying we damaged his SUV. Needless to say we called the cops first and there was more witnesses for us then for him. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Selene, well you are lucky then becuase when I am pregnant suddenly all the drunks, elderly and just plain crazy drivers come out of the woodwork. People will say, oh it is just because you are pregnant and hormonal that you are not driving as well as normal. That does not account for the people who have come straight at me on the wrong side of the highway(I am NOT kidding, nearly peed my pants on that one!) or running stop lights and stop signs, making EXTRA wide turns such that I am run off the road, etc. That's in a vehicle. Walking my center of balance is messed up and everytime my husband turns around I've fallen on my back side. My husband says I should be pput in a luxury padded room with a never ending supply of chocolate, whole milk, cable TV and a girl friend to talk to about how all men are pigs....well etc for my husband, he;s a sweety!

I am glad you was able to avoid the other driver.

When I was pregnant with my second child. I was on my way to a doctor's appointment. A van pulled out behind me going down the highway. He was tailgating me the whole way. Never tried to pass like I wish he could have cause the traffic was so bad. I prayed to God that I would not be an accident that day. To keep me and my unborn child safe. We came to an intersection where the light was green. So I didn't have to slow down. But the guy coming at me decided to turn in front of me. To this day. I have no idea how I did not hit the car in front of me or how the van behind me didn't rear end me. But some how a miracle happened. Because I could not see the guys bumper behind me. He was driving that close. And I could barely see the top of the car that turned in front of me.

I tell every one that I believe my guardian angel was watching over me that day. That I believe my guardian angel got in between both vehicles to stop an accident from happening.

I still believe to this day.

Leslie - Yuck! I am sorry to hear that all those bad drivers just came after you! But I agree that your hubby is a sweety! I wish my hubby would say that. ;-)

Sandy - That's horrible, but I am also glad you were ok.

I hate reckless drivers. That can be so scary. I think it is illegal too. And if it isn't, it is at least not something you are supposed to do, especially acting as if you own the road.
