Thanks, Mike. I got behind this week and didn't get time to do the commentary yet. I wanted to get the picks up. I'll add some more comments hopefully later today. For the moment, I am signing off on the demise of New England and the Bears are good but not that good.

You actually think TN has a chance, huh? I guess we could pull this one off. Stranger things have happened. I have more faith in our ability to lose even when we're winning, however. I am happy that in the Miami game, Jeff stuck with one quarter-back for the entire game. Maybe he'll keep that up. We have a much better chance of improvement if he does. Plus that TO thing might work in our favor, so who knows.

Jake......these picks are with or with out the spread?.........
First time i`ve seen the "Jake Zone"....{your picks for the week}.......any way i differ on a few games.....
Caroline takes The Saints.........why?.....Saints just played the beiggest game in their History....emotionaly spent and on the road.....
Buffalo takrs the Vikes.......again...a very drainung loss agaisnt the Bears last week....let down time....

I usually try to get these up on Thursday and I try to throw in some general commentary as well. I was buried at work this week so the picks were late and there's no commentary.

Here's some commentary:

T. O. is a has been and a complete lunatic. I'll be shocked if Parcells doesn't quit after this season. Good move Jerry Jones.

The Patriots are in trouble, particularly if Tom Brady doesn't quit moping around.

Either the Bears are over rated or the Vikings are under rated. I think it's a little of both.

Tampa Bay is in deep doo doo. They and the Raiders and Packers all appear to have some serious rebuilding to do and the fact that those teams let themselves get in this position suggests current management isn't getting it done (definitely in Green Ban and Oakland).

I also have serious questions about the wisdom of New England's "we don't need anyone but Tom Brady and Bellichek" approach. I think Brady is sick of it, too.

Hey Jake, did you see that movie with Mathew M. where he sold his picks?....They thought anything near 80% was top flight...(not sure if those were based on the spreads though)

With the humiliated Giants on a bye this week, I didn't check in here before gameday. The Jets are holding their own against Indy, which is better than the Gints did at this point (3rd Q). I still think Indy will pull it out (if I were betting), but I'm rooting for my hometown team, of course.

John Dice, the Giants need to look like a new team when they come back next week, or they're through. I'd like to hear Jake's take on them, as well, but those are my thoughts on the matter. They have the talent on paper, but can they play as a team?

John S, I'm rooting for Arizona out of sympathy, these days. I only hated them when they were in the Giants' division, but not so much, because they always sucked. I kind of like them, now, at least enough to root for them.

I'm an old school Bear fan, still having a hard time getting used to this forward pass thing (lol!) I prefer the mud wrestling 6-3 games where we just wear out the other team, but I guess that doesnt sell tickets.

They play the Ravens this week. This is week 4.

and by the way if they did play the Bengals Pats would win...BUT they play the Ravens on Oct. 4th at home. Pats win it again.
