A Brazilian jetliner with 155 people aboard was reported missing Friday over the Amazon jungle. Gol Airlines flight 1907 was at first believed to have collided with a smaller plane in the remote jungles of the southwestern region of Para state.
Brazilian authorities are now not sure whether the incident is connected with the Emergency Landing of a heavily damaged private jet which managed to land at Cachimbo. They say searching is difficult because of the thick canopy which is 50 to 60 meters high. It is not expected that anything will be found for at least 24 hours.
