My favorite slogan in opposition to and a way of reframing the notorious "cut and run" is:
"Any kid but mine"
The next time a Republican says that to me I will reply, "sure thing, Mr. Any Kid But Mine." Covers it all: hypocrisy, someone else's sacrifice, the fundamental dishonesty of a war your not willing to fight yourself and all the other flawed ideas put forth to get us into this war. All are conveyed in those four simple words.
The following are what I would consider honorable mentions. They don't quite win because they require people to actually know history and/or theology. Most people probably know one or the other, but I doubt a solid majority of people in this country would understand what falls between the lines:
"Custer Stayed the Course"
And:
"The Rapture is Not an Exit Strategy"

What Custer fought for and what we are fighting for now is two toally differant things. He was a panzy any way. How bout General Jack Pershing. He tied 50 captured terrorists (the same type that are attacking now and we weren't even in Iraq. Imagine that) to stakes, soaked their bullets in pigs blood, killed 49 of them and made the 50 dig and dig and dig then covered the bodies with the rest of the pig. He let the 50th scumbag go. There wasn't a terrorist attack for 50 years. This was in the turn of the century, This is the same kind of thing that the left keeps us from doing. Using our full force.
The techniques sought by the CIA are: induced hypothermia; forcing suspects to stand for prolonged periods; sleep deprivation; a technique called "the attention grab" where a suspect's shirt is forcefully seized; the "attention slap" or open hand slapping that hurts but does not lead to physical damage; the "belly slap"; and sound and light manipulation.
Did you ever hear of the 5 day torture that muslims use now?
"RE-ELECT SADDAM ... A LEADER THEY DESERVE"
That'll show'um who's boss Mr rough and tough Sean-Paul Kelley......
I bet that makes'um "cut and run"
If the road fits . . .
If I'm so full of fear then you don't have anything to fear.......So bush did his job to make you feel safe?
I'll be back after work.
"Peace at any price" is as flawed a philosophy, as "war is good for the economy" is. I'm still not decided on what is best for Iraq, and us. I fear the wholesale slaughter that would probably ensue on a scale far worse than now if we left to quickly, more than anything else I think. I also wish that Iran was a little less involved in fostering unrest in the world as well, and could be trusted to not turn Iraq into a theocracy after we leave.
Those "kids" you speak of are men, many are young men, but aware of what they signed up for. As a parent, I understand the dilemma you talk of well. No parent wants to see their son/daughter risk their lives in combat, they never have.
Thanks.
