Sounds good, B.J., when does it open? Just kidding. I feel the need to know the skiff's history, and give it a future at least as full as its past. I'm glad you liked the tanka. Thank you.
I'm in the discovery stage, Moya. The owner's wife has told me some things, but they married after the war and only knows that her husband built it "in peacetime. Stick-by-stick, he did."
I appreciate how the senses are infused with history and emotion with such unassuming ease. It is a beautifully written and meaningful poem.
Yup, d m., seems like I did. She never invited me to have a slice of it; hope I get another chance--the smell of cinnamon sauce made me drool.
