I guess I'll give it a look-see. I do think that Edward Norton is one of the few REAL actors (along with Johnny Depp and Kevin Spacey) that are alive today. Plenty of pretty faces out there like Tom Cat, but very few that can act.

Mugg, I dislike Tom Cat quite a bit, but really enjoy the three you mentioned Edward Norton, Johnny Depp and Kevin Spacey. Each of them can deliver quite a performance. I've also been impressed with Sean Penn lately, and Joakim Phoenix is promising.

It is a really cool movie. I tried talking to other people coming out, but it was after midnight and people were moving out quickly. But my daughter and I thought it was fantastic and quite thought provoking. She said it is up there with V for Vendetta as far as leaving you with your brain on fire. I loved V, but I think The Illusionist is more thought provoking. V is a more bizarre and exciting movie in other ways, but The Illusionist really delivered in ways so few films do anymore.

I've been wanting to see this. Norton is an excellent actor as are Joaquin Phoenix, Depp and Spacey.

I plan on seeing it again the theater. It's one of those films where you get the feeling when it is over that there may have been foreshadowing and clues along the way. Norton is really great in this role. I'm surprised the reviews have been good but not great. I am finding that reviews are rarely relevant to me anymore.
