My parents told me that I was born in a small town called Srinagar, a beautiful place in the now war torn country Kashmir. I was a year and a half when my mother was helped by friends to cross the barbed wire border to enter the newly created state of Pakistan.
I did not know then that I was a refugee child and would face the crisis of identity later in life.
Are you a Kashmiri? If your birthplace is Srinagar then you are an Indian?
No I am not an Indian '
then we cant write Srinagar and Pakistan together-
with the digital passports becoming necessary this question was raised and I was stranded once again in my own land I thought was mine-
which is my home town? My parents opted for a new free state, but the question of a home still remains.
