DON'T Follow the Crowd
The crowd may lead you to an unfamiliar exit. You will emerge from the station like a groundhog whose hole has been moved -- completely disoriented in the glaring sun. Nothing looks familiar. And if there are too many buildings in the way, you can't even tell which direction is north, south, east, or west -- if that could even help!
If you should happen to follow the crowd and end up in a place you don't recognize, I highly recommend that you Follow the Crowd. If you wait long enough, you'll see them creating trails like ants going off in 1 or 2 directions. Look to the sky and see if you can recognize a building that you are going to or, at least, nearby. Then follow the ant trail that is going in that general direction. The crowd may be able to lead you to a place more recognizable.
If all else fails, ask someone how to get to where you are going. Most people know there way around pretty well. Or, if you get lucky and happen to pass a drug store, sneak a peek at the maps to find your way.
