Remember a few years ago when Palmolive came out with those yellow disposable dish sponges that were for one time use and then toss in the garbage? They were stored in a plastic tub that would sit on your sink and keep germs from festering through the use of a constant sponge everyday.
They were lined with palmolive dish detergent. They were compacted into the small tub and sold for about three bucks. Then Dawn came out with a nice model that were flatter and in a larger clear plastic tub. The price was about the same, depending on if you bought it at Target, Rite Aid or grocery store.
I reviewed both on www.epinions.com/user-bonniesayers and preferred Dove, but would buy the Palmolive if that was all that was available.
Then all of a sudden they were gone and still gone? I heard once that you could get them on www.drugstore.com but I never checked it out as I live very close to a Rite Aid and cannot see spending money on shipping.
However I miss having the convenience of one dish cloth for all the washing needs and then toss it out. Keeps the germs at bay and I liked storing things in all those extra tins we had, perfect for kids Pokemon cards.
Perhaps these are still available in other parts of the country? Did you like using them and have you seen them anywhere for sale? Here in Los Angeles they disappeared, which is bad as there is a market for these type of products.Â
