Richard Branson, the magnate and adventurer, made quite a stir this morning at former President Clinton's annual Global Initiatives conference aimed at getting the wealthy and powerful to do something concrete to improve humanity and its relationship to the home planet. It was fun to cover such a remarkable announcement.
Andy Revkin has been an environment reporter for The New York Times since 1995. Revkin has traveled to the Artic three times, and he was the first New York Times reporter to file stories and images from the North Pole. He is the author of the new book on climate and the Arctic: THE NORTH POLE WAS HERE: Puzzles and Perils at the Top of the World.
