On Comments posted in this Groups articles Luckky Said, and I quote out of context "It is that type of tactic that shows why Israel is so hated throughout the world."
Israel may be hated around the world; I am agreeing it may indeed be. But I think the hatred of Israel is more indicative of old hatreds handed down even unintentionally by anti Semite's (conscious and subconscious ones) to there children and grand children. I realize there may be people who indeed "Hate Jews" from personal experience, but for the most part, people I know, I don't hate. I have friends who are Moslem, Jew, Quaker, Southern Baptist, Irish, Iranian, Fijian, Samoan, Tongan, Japanese, Indian, Pakistani, Russian, Mexican, Canadian, English, Lao, Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Chinese, French and German. I hate none of them. Even though I have big problems with Iran, Russia, and sometimes Germany, oh and definitely France... But you seem to think your opinions are the worlds, and yet I don't think you truly "Know" the world views, you just guess them or surmise them and you have developed your negative opinions from hearsay and perhaps history readings and the news. But to truly hate someone you need to get to know them and then it is usually difficult to hate, even if you still don't like them, hate is difficult when you know people.
I dislike most of what you and the rest say when you post etc, but I don't hate you, I don't know you enough to hate you.
So why do you hate the Jews. Why do you hate them, not the country but the people? I am interested; I do want to know, I am not arguing. why do you hate the Jews?

there are those who seem too so I have posted this.
Thank you for your posts, I am glad we have you all here as friends...
I fear in the next months posibly weeks we will all need to hang together...
I see War (bigger then NOW and YEs this is WWIII), I pray I am wrong.
Good night.
but some peole have to find spite and bigotry whee there is none and others just like to rabble rouse as much as they can...
I have however noticed a peculiar tendency for some people to insist that anything less than full support for Israeli policies was by default an indication of anti-Semitism. I find such thinking frightening and highly suspect. It seems closely akin to bizarro notions that to disagree with our President is anti-American. The underlying insecurity implied by such reasoning is very sad.
I too, am one to always get to know a person before making judgements, so that if I decide to dislike someone, it isn't because of race, religion, culture, sexual preference or anything else that a person could possibly disciminate against.
And what is it with the obsession that Zionism equates to something wicked or extreme? Like anything there are degrees of adherence. Here is a good summation of Zionism, "If you believe that the Jews are a people, and support the right of the Jews to a national home, and you are willing to stand up for that right when it is challenged, then you can call yourself a Zionist, whether or not you belong to any organized Zionist group or accept any "official" definition of Zionism, and whether or not you live in Israel or plan to live in Israel - and whether or not you are Jewish."
No more do I hate any other race. We are all God's creation, human with like passions and souls. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
I just believe everyone has the right to believe in what they want to believe in. I don't think anyone has to attend church to find God or their God. I believe I can go outside and sit on beautiful back deck and pray....God's everywhere not just church.
I don't really understand why these countries hate the Jews. I just don't get it. The hate is bread into them for generations after generations. Look at all the countries who hate Americans.
It's just a sad world anymore.

No the reason I posted the article is I did see spite and bigatry, and the link below goes to it. But I didnt repost the whole comment becouse it was too long.... Thats the only reason I tok that one line out, and I hope most understood , the comment does say" It is that type of tactic that shows why Israel is so hated throughout the world." and that is a rather braud assuming hate related type of comment....
Thats one reason why I wrote it, the other is contained in all the negative comments, I dont mean the ones that disagree with me or others, I mean the negative ones, full of venum and acid...
I am thankful for the suportive positive statements written here so far. Thank you,
(in case you don't realise, I am not a Jew and I am not from Israel, but I am a Zionest as defined by Tiffany... I am an Israelite as defined by my membership in the tribe (family) of Joseph (the one played by Donny Osmond in the musical) who was sold into Egypt. I am LDS as is Donny Osmond and even Glenn Beck (The #3 Talk show host on beforw the #1 talk show host Rush Daily)

(Noam Chomsky: "no anti-Semitic implications in denial of the existence of gas chambers."
"Jews in the U.S. are the most privileged and influential part of the population," adding that "privileged people want to make sure they have total control, not just 98% control." In Chomsky's mental universe, there are few questions about Israel and the Middle East that cannot be resolved by equating Jews with Nazis.
Israeli leftist Yigal Tumarkin, a founder of PEACE NOW, who disclosed: "When I see the black-coated haredim with the children they spawn, I can understand the Holocaust."
Canadian philosopher Michael Neumann, author of The Case Against Israel, who candidly informed a neo-Nazi website that he is "not interested in the truth, or justice, or understanding," unless it serves the Palestinian cause).
Case in point, Hezbullah's (Iran) recent 'comflict'. Never mind the rain of thousands of bombs with ball bearings that feel primarily on Hiafra (Israel's main port and financial center -a RESIDENTIAL, not militrary target.
Never mind their armaments are set up in CIVILIAN populations *DOUBLE war crimes acts* - targeting civilians with ball-beraing packed rockets and using human shields. Towards the end, CNN used the term "resistance" to describe the Hezie cause, a term used to describe the Palestinian movements (sucide bombings).
A VERY telling quote was provided by David Aikman (Assoc. History Prof. Patrick Henry College): This is the enemy we face:
"The war in Lebanon was very cynically staged." Before the conflict/war/ broke out, a HEZBOLLAH leader was quoted as saying:
"Yes, we have inplaced our rockets in civilian places, and yes, if Israel tries to hit them, they will probably kill civilians. THAT IS A GOOD THING, because Israel loses both ways...and we win both ways because the civilians killed become martyrs."
Ford Rowan (Chmn. Nat'l Center for Critical Incident Analysis) stated this regarding the battle for 'hearts and minds' over there.
"Not about hearts and minds: that's the WRONG way to think about it. It' REALLY about recruitment of supporters or alienation of supporters... To weaken the resolve of the 'West' and to recruit jihadists over there."
Some other "Jewish", as well as "Christian" leaders have equated support of Israel statehood as a desire by the 'lunitic fringe' to hasten Armegedon!
Make no mistake. Anti-Zionism is being presented to lessen the impact by some to justify the mass murder of JEWS! If they are attacked by the Muslim nations or Iran directly, it will be 'OK' because basically they had it coming for trying to "OCCUPY" the Arab lands.
I am going to publish soon (no starting today), a series of articles that will define the lLIES of the ARABs to allienate the West regarding Isreal's "right to exist".
I do not claim to be an expert on the matter, but I have had to to come to understand my affinity for the Jewish Peoples and why the world has attempted to litterally remove them from the earth over the millennniums.
"I hate Baptists because when I four years-old a little Baptist girl tried to touch my pee-pee. Now I don't trust any of them."
So if a grown-up "Baptist girl", (or is it ANY girl now) wanted to touch your little 'pee-pee', you would have a problem with that?
I don't hate Jews, I married one and my best friend of 35 years is one.
I don't give a rats butt what connection you wish to make between Zionism and Israeli policy, I will not hesitate to criticize Israel when I think it's government is in the wrong. NOBODY gets a free pass. NOBODY.
If this is not understandable to you, tough.
I was posing a question, and I never said give anyone a free pass, esp the leader Israel has today, I hope he resigns they need someone with knowlege of military and who is not afraid to do what must be done, not just waht the world is ok with.
So peace John Knight,
Shalom
I wasn't addressing that to you, but to the folks that were pushing way too hard. Sorry, I realize now that you would naturally think it was for you if I didn't specify. I found your words quite reasonable.
Thanks.
"Imagine what those countries next to each other could do together if there wasn't so much hate. Such a waste....."
Almost makes me cry to think about...such a horrible tragedy there.
They were anti-semite and anti genuine communication and conversation about anything...
Thanks again all,
Matthew
John Knight, I understand, and it's alright.
Zionism isn't extremism. According the Webster's New World Dictionary Zionism is ,"a movement for the reestablishing, now for supporting, the Jewish National State of Israel.", I am a Zionist, because I support the Jewish state, but religiously I am a Christian, but most bible reading believing Christians are… or should be because of revelations…
Another topic for another article I think.
I personally never said I was a foreign affairs Expert, and this article was not about foreign affairs, it was about anti-Semitism. Or do you think all Jews live overseas?
So I may not be an expert, (I am not) so what are your credentials?
Hummm?
Speak up!
Example: One night, I was just taking a cab ride home (i'm from NYC). The person who picked me up just generally started a nice conversation aboyt what I do, what school I go to, etc. by the end of the 15 minute ride, his last comment to me was that his people (pakistanis) and my people (african-americans) had to come together to defeat the Jews who controlled everything in America. I had absolutely no idea where that comment came from, because we were simply talking about problems that poor people have in terms of affording college and finding housing, etc.
I've encountered that same sentiment, surprisingly, among many of my black friends who seem to feel that whenever something bad happens or whenever things are changing in the community, that it is the Jews fault. Now I find that much of this comes less from an understanding of Zionism and the Israeli-Palistinian conflict, and more from just a general view that it's ok to blame anything on Jews because that is what has historically and continues to be done around the world (e.g. people like to blame AIPAC for the Iraq war).
I hope this can change because no one group deserves to have the hatred of the world on their shoulders.
