Congress has passed legislation to BUILD 700 miles of double layered fence along the Southern Border, and the Senate is slated to take it up tomorrow. BUT...yes, always a but...the Congress FAILED TO PROVIDE the funding for said fence....hold your Congressmen and women's feet to the fire by calling or writing them and insisting them make this more than a political season EMPTY PROMISE by actually funding this project.
FUND AND BUILD THE FENCE NOW

You know my views on illegal immigration, but this fence is a very bad idea. First, it won't stop anyone. Secondly, it will cost a lot of money we don't have. Third, it will cost a lot of money to maintain. And finally, we are broke! $8.5 Trillion in the hole. I'd much rather fine the employers, at least we'll get a couple of bucks!

In the past two days, I have come across over 2 BILLION dollars worth of programs that BENEFIT illegal aliens...for instance, the Migrant Education Program through the United States Department of Education that has a yearly budget of $347 MILLION dollars. You want to save/find money, it's there. Illegal Aliens DEPRESS US Wages by over 200 BILLION a year, remittances to Mexico alone are set to top 28 Billion this year....trust me, the FENCE is a BARGAIN.

A fence won't stop anyone??????? Of course it will stop ALOT of illegals. Not all, but a heck of alot. I think fining the employers is also good. We need a fence, troops on the border, and stiff fines for employers..... Enough is enough
What I am, is driven...driven to see people that aid and abet illegals who are on the government payroll lose their jobs. Driven to do whatever it takes to negatively impact the budgets of any program that supports illegal aliens, or see said program completely unfunded...it can be done. I and millions like me are driven to see that illegals are DEPORTED, not granted AMNESTY.
By the way....little FACTOID for you....did you know since this whole little debate started when Bush started pushing for Amnesty, that ICE and Homeland Security who have a different agenda have arrested and deported almost 70,000 illegal aliens who had outstanding appearence warrants to be deported, some of them here in America for over 20 years.......................in short, THE HUNT IS ON.
1. They are going after the criminals with outstanding warrants - should have been done AGES ago.
2. They are proving that they are capable of policing immigration - this is especially important because local and state governments are overstepping their legal boundaries.
3. We only learn through experience. Haven't you noticed? When we drive the population into hiding, they'll stop going to work, stop purchasing freely and escape back into the shadows they were in during the 90's. That doesn't mean they'll disappear - many have saved thousands of dollars and live cheaply - which means they're good for 12-18 months of hibernation.
I don't dispute the facts. I see them. Believe me - I see it and I photograph it and I document it.
You would be proud of all the suffering this is causing.
