The new Tickle Me Elmo is out and boy is he a riot! I never got the old one - then again I wasn't a mother back when it came out either. I admit I'd play with it in the stores and got a giggle or two from it, but I never quite understood the frenzy he caused in stores.
Now the new Tickle Me Elmo is not only adorable but bust-a-gut laugh out loud funny. I want one. I want one for me and for my son (he'd surely share, wouldn't he?) I only want to giggle at it as he plays. While the advanced movements are vast and impressive, the $40 price tag is just as impressive - and sadly currently out of our budget. Not to mention it would be near impossible to find one of these in the stores judging by the mass frenzy it's predecessor caused. So, I suppose we will have to deal with watching the lil guy in action here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0Dys4XOnvs&mode=related&search=
So, what is your stance on this toy? Is it worth the hefty price tag? Will you be clamoring to buy one for this year's gift giving season?

Having two kids that would want one and presumably not share would be a whole other dilemma for you. (Makes me glad I just have one, lol)
LOL Candy. I hear you there. I've always loved Elmo - he's just too darned cute not to love.
It's possible he could get one from a family member. He also has a birthday coming up as well as Christmas, so you just never know. Or better yet wait until everyone's kids got tired of them and grab them at a second hand store.
