My second husband learned English as a second language (his first was Gaelic) and he often said funny things. One was when he felt like going out to a restaurant for a steak. He said, "Let's go to Black Agnes". He meant Black Angus, of course. Another of his Scottyism's was when he had sore muscles and asked me if we had and 'obscene junior, meaning Absorbene Jr. He is dead now. I wish I could remember more of his mixed-up English.
I remember when I was about 6 my mom took me with her to trade her old car in on a newer one. The buyer was looking the car all over. I looked under it and said "isn't that oil dripping?' I thought at the time I was doing good. LOL
