I did this article for the Russophiles group. I have been interested in Russian science, Russian history, and Russian chess. I have had limited success with images of Russian scientists, so I decided to present two drawing of the Kremlin instead. In the future I may publish pictures of great Russian chessplayers and quotes from them. The current World Chess Champion is Russian. The Russians dominated 20th century chess, and they are continuing into the 21st century.
Recently the Russians have move into heavyweight boxing, where they have had surprising success. They have always been good in hockey.

There is also an interesting story behind the Trotsky assassination. Stalin's secret police killed Trotsky in Mexico after he wrote an article very critical of Stalin. He accused Stalin of having Lenin poisoned.
