Have you noticed when something occurs on the site that the management only posts the time and not the time zone?
When there was a message recently about site maintenance, there was no indication whether this was eastern standard time, central, pacific or another time zone.
In the weekly email from gather.com it states that there will be another ask the ceo chat this Thursday from 12 to 1 pm. There is no date listed and no specifics on time zone.
You have a website here, www.gather.com which has international users, yet you make no reference to what the time zone these chats and maintenance services will be happening.
It would also be helpful to include a world map link with these announcements so every single member can post that time and find out when that is for their own time zone.
Unless you plan on catering to just the eastern standard time zone I suggest letting the rest of us on other time zones in on this so we can adjust and prepare for such instances also.
By clicking on the time zone map you can see what time it is anywhere in the world and be able to note when it is 12 to 1 pm on the east coast what it is elsewhere.
Maybe management can also pick times that are appropriate for all time zones as this is morning time for Pacific time zone. It would be nice to have input from all members by planning chats at various times of convenience for all members.
