The Amazing Race is off and running

I'm sorry that both Muslim pair and the Hindu couple were eliminated so early in the game. I was looking forward to the cultural diversity. But it looks pretty good so far. Have you ever thought of sending an application to enter the contest?

"The beards" were a kick (quoting one of the cheerleaders). The "boyfriends" are just TOO much and speaking of the cheerleaders--their little "cheer cheer" routines? Gag me! LOL The producers sure know how to pick em!! I can't wait for next week. Heather

Yes I have thought about it but I have a bad back and can't possibly do any of those things they have todo..believe me, if it was 10 years ago, that application would have been sent in..;)

yes, those cheerleaders were funny..but whatever gets them through the game!...gotta give them credit..;)

I must have missed that part where they wouldn't shake the woman's hand... yeah, that's pretty lame. Culture is one thing but in this situation it just doesn't work. I'm sure there are Muslim business people who have adapted to treating women more appropriately. And I was also sorry to see the Indian couple go next. I wanted the minorities to stay in the game a little longer! Although, I don't really like the Asian brothers.

I thought the tasks were good. The bricklaying trick with the large stones made the race a little bit more unpredictable. The eyeballs... I wonder if it wasn't actually so bad, because none of the people seemed to have any trouble sucking them down. =) Or maybe they edited out most of the complaining.

Oh, and reading what some of the others have written here... I agree the cheerleaders are going to get annoying fast. And I hated that the girl with the artificial leg said "I have to get to the hospital, emergency" so she could get a cab. But I guess you do what you gotta do.

There isn't any question that each person has to decide what they would do to win the game, but there is no way I would use an artifical leg in the way she used it to get on the airplane first, as it just makes the other teams hate your way of playing the game. In other seasons, we certainly watched the team that won get help from others to get the money, so I think they aren't going to be in the game many weeks.

You are so right...I didn't like her using her leg to get ahead, though you have to give her credit for doing the race...

I was disappointed that the two most diverse couples were eliminated already (Muslims and Hindis). I was looking forward to seeing how they played the game more, and how their differences from most of the other players would affect the game. I guess it affected the game so much they lost right away. Bummer.

Did the single moms say where their kids were? I'd have a hard enough time leaving my kids for that long and leaving them with their Dad... They were persistent though.

No I didn't hear anything about the kids....that's a good question...looking forward to next weeks show..;)

"The Boyfriends" are testing my patience. Why do some gay men have to play into the part so dramatically?? The gal with the fake leg is "making note" of her boyfriend's newest behaviors... hehe. I have a fondness for the father and daughter team. It's touching to see them work together.... and Dad's cute! I was touched last week when she cried as he struggled to climb that wall. I'm leaning towards them right now. The Asian brothers weren't much of a focal point tonight, were they? :0)

I like the father and daughter too...The very fact that he is trying to understand that she is gay and are on this adventure to bring them closer is very interesting..The boyfriends are cute but a bit over the top..I don't think they will go very far but you never know..

It seems to me all the teams have to get their acts together..That couple from Kentucky annoys me for some reason..

How about that archery/flame attempt by the one "boyfriend" and it just went limp in his hand? The Mongilian man got a kick outa that! Ok, so here in the states (or many of the states -- I'm in SF) are USED to the gay "drama" but I can't imagine how some cultures perceive this "off the wall" behavior. That Kentucky drawl is what's annoying... no offense to ya'll in the south. It's just so hard to acclimate to it.

I was so happy the brothers won last night...They were so respectful of that prison and what went on there..
