I've been commenting a lot since yesterday and my Gather points haven't gone up either. It's probably another wonderful Gather glitch.

Mine too. Who is Bruce and what happened? I know mine have stopped but I didn't know what to do other than to check them again off and on.... and they stay the same.
Oh well, I do comment, and who knows? Sounds like a glitch, but will we get our points back if we were supposed to have had them if/when it gets fixed? Makes you wonder.... thanks for bringing this up!

Don't they sometimes seem to stop and then catch up. I don't notice daily so I can't help you there.

I just wrote an e-mal to Ben Stephens who seems to answer all my point questions. I've noticed this too. I am sure some of you who have commented are within the USA, so it's not just us out-siders. I too, plan to use my points to benefit someone in the USA, since I can't use them here. My "someone" and I are already working on a plan.

What happened with Bruce? I'd love to know.

I was going to write and ask y'all myself, but someone else did. Thank you!

Dee, I feel better knowing that they're stuck, and you're in the USA. I wondered myself. I am listed as being in Sedona, but I'm actually in Guelph Ontario CANADA right now. I'm not an American citizen and don't have a tax number, so can't do anything about Cash etc.

Anyway people, I have used the "e-mail to a friend" feature to point this article out to Ben Stephens, the point guy, along with the e-mail I mentioned sending earlier. Hopefully he'll get things in motion soon. Too bad this had to happen on a weekend. I sincerely hope he checks his e-mail before Monday morning.

Hey, if anyone outside the US wants to get rid of points, I am using mine for Christmas gifts for my daughter and her husband LOL! Omaha Steak certs make great gifts! I didn't realize it, but I suppose the GC's that are available aren't any good outside the US, are they? Can't you pay extra shipping at, say, B&N and use them online? What a shame!

Yes. But you have to have the GC delivered to a US address.. I think. Haven't redeemed yet so I'm just guessing on that.

Well, geez, not being able to redeem is no fun! It's certainly a good thing Gather is so much fun! It was weeks before I even realized that you could redeem for anything but cash if you accumulated, what is it? 3000 points in one month? I just kept coming back because I'm thoroughly addicted!

I have two good friends who live OUTUS and have a lot of points - one in Canada the other in Russia. They cash in for B&N coupons using my address and I mail them back to them (B&N delivers in Russia).

As a computer systems administrator, I'll say there are two logical reasons for this glitch:

1. They "upgraded" about a week ago, remember? Sometimes a screwup in programming can lay low for a week or two before manifesting itself.

2. Or, they manually froze the point accumulators until they figure out how Bruce got a couple of million points.

Well they'd better get 'em fixed soon!!! I'm trying to figure out a way to get my points to fund my trip to AZ. How the hell am I supposed to try and make that happen when I'm not gettin' any?

Mine are certainly stuck as well. I've been commenting a lot and posted 2 new articles in the last 24 hours and no point increase has been seen on my end.

Do you suppose they will credit us accordingly for our activity during this period once the system is back up and running?

Mine haven't gone up in three days. I have written 3 very well read and well rated articles, had 8 more people connect with me and I have made countelss comments. I e-mailed someone at "contact us", so far no reply.

I too am working on the modalities. This way my friend will get me books from B&N coupons I send from now onwards. AS my friends are always mobile, I should be able to get my books.

B&N does not deliver in India!

It seems the points are frozen. It does not matter where we are staying for the moment. I can only hope, we will get a windfakll when they get around fixing it.
