Earn money by reviewing and writing on Helium...

At Helium Knowledge you share information and seek knowledge on a number of topics. Information is ranked with topics including health care, insurance, computer hardware, electronis, education, hobbies and games, internet services, pets, automotive, food and drink, parenting and law - to name a few.

All you need to do is register by creating a user name and password. I did not see a referral program, but they do ask how you found out about the site.

This site is in beta and pays via paypal every month. You need to make $25 before you can get paid. It looks like you start by publishing and then you can rate other articles.

Members are known as Heliumites. That is a tongue twister.

I am curious to know if anyone here at gather also writes and reviews on Helium Knowledge.

Thanks - I signed up too - the editorial review might be due to "earn money" in your title - there's been much ado about "non-articles" including pyramid schemes, earn money at home stuff, etc.

It means someone clicked on the link at the bottom of this (and every) article that says "Report this article as potentially inappropriate." It just means that someone from Gather will be looking at it to see if any of the TOS are broken, or if it should be flagged for adult content . . . I think personally this seems fine to me, so I would not worry about it too much. It would not have been a Gather staffer that flagged it - if they were concerned, it would have been handled immediately. Apparently someone felt a reason to report it - who knows why?

Don't be taken in by the hype. I signed on to Helium months ago, contributed frequently, reviewed, commented, added content, etc. So far, I've earned less than a dollar. Easier to make money on Gather, and you know how easy that is!

Thanks for the feedback. I did check out some members and looked at what they had written and the ranks. I did three answers and then got bored.

Anyone have experience with www.lovetoknow.com?

I hear you get $15 for writing an article (800 words) and $7.50 for a category description (400 words).

Going over there now to check it out.
