Strange pet habits

With 3 cats in my household each day I find some new strange endearing habit that one or more of the kitties get into...Lately Socks, the latest member of our family, has discovered the water filter on my kitchen sink.. She just loves to drink directly out of it and waits until I empty my drainer of all the dishes or cutlery that might be in her way...She's also afraid of my coffee pot nearby and looks at it and at me as if to tell me to move it...I swear she really does these things...

Anyone else out there who has something similar happening...Funny thing, I use the same filtered water in two water bowls that are very accessable to her nearby but she's just not interested in them...

 

I also have to hide the cat food...Look at her helping herself...:)

Socks is very smart.
My own smarty-pants cat, Madame Magpie Mim, also drinks from the kitchen faucet water filter. In fact, I brought the filter for her because she is a chronic faucet cat and she was drinking nasty city water. I was afraid she'd poison herself. (my other cats drink
bottled water like me.) Maggie also sits in the tub. Water-cats!!!

My cat, Rikki does the same thing! she loves to climb in when I am trying to peel veggies or clean up and get totally in the way.

Our guys like to drink any water that's left in the tub after we've taken a shower. Really gross, but they love it.

Sometimes also our older kitten decides to wash his paws in thier water dish.

My youngest cat loves to drink running water. He sticks his head under the faucet and drinks what runs off into the sink. He spends a lot of time with a wet head.

our very first cat did that. we had to make sure the bathroom faucet was always on a trickle because once she went tap, she never went back.

One of my cats, Sirus, Like to drink form the sink in the bath room, or the tub after I get out of the shower.
An endering habit of one of my other cats, Mason, Is that when he thinks it is time for me to go to bed he will come and jump on my lap and then jump of and go to the stairs. If I didn't come he would come back and do it again, or poke me with one of his claws and then go to the stairs again.
They certainly keep me entertained.

Ahh, cats, they certainly have a way with them. One of my other cats only wants to drink out of my hand at the bathroom faucet...she will stare at it until I succomb..

I love the photo. My biggest trouble is that when I'm walking they seem to know where my next step is going to be and get there before me. I have almost fell down many times.

Cute, too cute! My kitty isn't a faucet cat, but in the mornings she'll stare at her little empty milk bowl then stare at me. If I act like I'm not paying attention she'll meow in the sweetest tone she can muster. Hard to resist when she asks so nicely................

She couldn't care less about what water she drinks, but she loves her milk!

Three of our four cats are chatterboxes. I think my favorite little quirk about one of the older girls, Blackhaus, is when she talks to my husband. He will ask her questions, and she will answer him in different tones, then we tell each other our interpretation of what the meow meant. I always think it is possible that she is communicating with us (even though we do not always understand), because she clearly knows certain words (food, din-din, treat, no, etc.)

My cat will not leave her water bowl where I put it. We come home from work and she has moved it halfway across the room. We have tried everything we can we think of to stop her. including buying a heavy ceramic dog bowl. Cleaning up water every night is so aggravating! Anyone have any ideas?

I live with a cat who has a water fixation -- I always thought it was because she was a stray in Texas, and I'm sure that dripping water faucets were her means of survival. She is constantly asking for me to turn on the faucet just a little so she can drink from it. Actually, there are 7 cats all together, and each one has their own peculiar, and mostly endearing quirks (one of them insists on scratching windows, and the sound of claws against glass is definitely not endearing - he's not quite right though - lack of oxygen at birth, so is forgiven).

my cat will flip one piece of her cat food out of the bowl and into her water dish, bat at it a bit, then fish it out with paw and eat it. she's like a racoon washing her food. she only does this once in a while, i guess when she's bored. she plays in her water dish quite a bit, just to get wet. i have to change her water pretty much every time i go into the bathroom.

My other cat Luke does that...sometimes he carries to the door mat in the dining room and eats there..

All of our cats like to drink out of the water glasses in our bathroom sinks. Only one will drink from the regular water dish now.

Our youngest (of 3) Conan, had a moment where he tipped a piece of food into the water dish, then tried to get it. It was a Mobius strip of the following:
