Red Hawk -Was a ally of Pontiac,while the great leaderlaid siege to Detroit,he helped lay siege to Fort Pitt (later Pittsburgh)to the south.Britsh Colonel Henry Bouquet,who mistrusted the Shawnees,broke up the latter attack.

This is sort of neat reading and writing on the Shawnee Indian tribe.Since my name is almoast like Shawnee but it is spelled different Shaunee and said different.

I didnt know this I shall diffently be studying our heritage a little further, my family history originates in that area my Great Grandfather was one of the original 300 NWMP police in the 1880, and was wed to one of the elders daughters but family history in this area not very reliable we have been trying for years to find out if this true or not, one day thanks from the bottom of my heart it means alot that someone has takin the time to talk about our people,

yeah.I am trying to figure out which one my family is I think it is either Pawnee Indians or Shawnee. My family comes from Georiga and Florida mainly Florida on both sides.I have Indian on my mother's side and my father's.

Yeah it is pretty interesting. Espically knowing that Indians did live in St. Augustine before Pounce De Leon claimed it.
