This page was made by enlarging a photograph of a variety of chile peppers to make it sort of faded or blurry. I then printed it out and made copies. I cut it to paste on a dark green cardstock back page.
I attached the pic part to the cardstock by using thin strips of double stick tape to form a pocket on top where I could insert the CD and the clothespin holding the packet of Habanero seeds.
The CD is the full version of Hot Hot Hot! which was available for download from the Internet.
You can find the recipe for the ice cream here - this one was done for a scrap recipe swap and I made 5 copies of it.

Patricia, thank you........participating in a scrap swap where you have to make several identical pages is a challenge when you just can't spend a lot of money in store-bought embellishments, so I try to come up with good ideas that don't cost as much.
Glad you liked the blog and our gardening ideas.......If you sign up to receive updates when new posts are published you can keep up with it as we go. My son Anthony has lots of good ideas, some already TNT and some we are experimenting with.
We want to be as kind as possible to our garden, so weed killer was a no-no. If you use enough layers of newspaper and make sure you wet it down thoroughly, it does go a long way toward helping kill the grass and weeds underneath and you can plant on top of it right away, whereas with poison you have to wait for it to dissipate (if it ever really does!)
Lisa, it's a lot of fun. Try it. I'm trying to find ways to do it creatively w/o spending a lot of $ at a scrapbook store.
;-)
Every month there is a different 'swap' with different categories. Each member decides which category(ies) they will participate in each time. Some (like me) do only one category each month, and others will sign up for all of them!
It is a commitment, so if you feel you might not be able to complete your project in the time allotted, you can sit out a month or more. I will be sitting out the next two months because i already know I will not be able to dedicate time to the project. But I'm still a part of the group.
At the end of each month, the new 'swap' is advertised with the categories listed. The amount of members who sign up for each category determines the amount of pages you need to make.
Several of us stated up friont we will only do 5 pages each time. Other members don't think anything of making 10 ef each (all alike) - to me it's bad enought to make 5 alike. I get bored.
Within the time frame given, we must complete our pages and sned Priority Mail to the moderator/hostess, when she receives them all, then she distributes within the people who signed up for each category.
For example, let's say, Sonia, Kim, Ginger, Mary, Lee and Nancy all signed up for the HOT category. We each have to make 5 identical pages of the recipe we chose. When the hostess gets them, she sorts through them and separates them and distribures so that each of us 5 people get a page from each when they are returned to us
This is fun and it gives you a chance to get pages from others.
I think I might write an article about the swaps..............
I already have a few too many irons in the fire, cindi.....LOL.......If I had the time, I would start one up....maybe later on!
