I posted a recap of last night's season premiere of DWTS and want to know: What did YOU think? Who impressed you? Who was a disappointment? Which costumes caught your attention for good or bad reasons? How about the judges' comments?
Overall, I'm considerably more pleased and impressed with the performances than I was last season. I think they've recruited a stronger set of celebrity dancers than before, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll do over the next several weeks.
My current personal frontrunner is Mario; I was shocked that he was as good as he was - great rhythm, awesome movement. And I thought the all-black costume choice really did him good service - it let him show off his moves without any distraction.
I was also stunned that Emmitt was good a dancer as he is. I'd expected him to dance more like Jerry Rice did last season (and although Jerry came in second in the end, I think we all know he got a lot of special sentimental football fan votes). But he's actually a solid dancer with actual natural ability, from the looks of that first performance.
Sara was a disappointment; I'd assumed she'd give a better performance since she grooves well in her music videos. (Though I admit I didn't think she was quite as bad as the judges' scores suggested.) I'd also expected more from Harry; I hadn't had him pegged as someone who would be awkward on the dancefloor, although in fairness that was probably because of his association with Lisa Rinna, who was very good on last season's show.
Bruno, Carrie-Ann and Len were their usual selves behind the judges' table. They didn't say or do anything that was surprising to me; I think we're in for another season of Carrie-Ann telling it as she sees it, Len being brutally honest, and Bruno lovin' the ladies.
Now it's your turn!

We'll see though. My Disney Channel fan daughter is of course on Monique's side. :O)
