He can't really box either. His entire rep is based on lucky punches. He's got quite a bit of beef behind those punches, but that's about it. But, you know, you gotta cut him a little slack. He probably is somewhere on the "old" scale of mental disabilities somewhere between a moron and an imbecile. And this is before he started taking punches to the head.

For instance, most blacks find it easy to believe that most white men are pedophiles who rape their own children and kill family members to cash out insurance policies. This too is a sick, twisted and distorted view of a whole race of people and it really needs to stop. It seems like Jalce has some skepticism about the case but fell back lockstep with popular white belief in calling him a creep. Any free thinkers here?

D P, I am white but I do not believe that "most if not all blacks are sexually deviant predators." I have NEVER believed that. But I do believe that Mike Tyson behaves inappropriately with both men and women on many occasions. I was not aware of the black stereotype you describe of white men, but I as a white woman simply do not believe that of black men. I think Mike Tyson is a "creep" because he bit that guy's ear off, and I believe that he would rape a woman because he appears to be very violent by nature AS AN INDIVIDUAL. I also think that as a boxer he is a victim, and that being hit in the head many, many times did not make him a better person. I agree that the woman should not have gone to Tyson's room - I wouldn't do that, it puts a woman in a very vulnerable position. It doesn't justify rape, but it puts one in a position where that can happen, and with him being a professional fighter I would have been scared to go to his room for any reason. I know that what you are describing in the days of slavery did happen at times, and it also happened with the male "master" and female slaves, only in that situation nobody dared to cry rape. I believe myself to be a "free thinker" but that doesn't mean I will always agree with you.

i think tyson is a creep, not because he was accused of rape, and certainly not because of some supposed stereotype, but because he blatantly said 'now i really do want to rape her'. that's just creepy anyway you look at it, and it came straight from his mouth.

Well Ghostie, I wouldn't expect you or any other caucasian to admit openly that you personally feel that way, for fear of being the REAL creep in the room. But that is exactly why racism is so deeply rooted in our society. What we say doesn't exactly match what we do when acting or reacting to a situation that has racially divisive implications that lines up with what we truly believe. For example, a caucasian father would say "Some of my best friends are black, I don't have a problem with black folks," but would disown his own daughter if she decided to date a black man. Although I think he's wrong for making the statement he did, I understand why he feels that way. Anyone in here know what it's like to spend 3 years of your life locked up for a crime you didn't commit? Especially at the pinnacle of your professional career?
