When my daughter was about three years old, she asked me if we could go to the store to buy a baby. Because the question took me a little by surprise, I didn't have an immediate answer. So she answered her own question with the statement, "Daddy won't let us". Then she thought for a moment and asked, "Mommy, can we go to the store without daddy?"
