To Blog, Or Not To Blog? Does Anyone Really Care?

"Your read my latest blog?" asked John.

"No" said Bill.

"Why not?"

"I don't really read blogs, don't see the point. Half of them are usually about stupid pointless stuff the other half is usually pointlessly stupid" said Bill as he thumbed through a copy of Asimov's he'd found lying on John's bedroom floor.

"Mine isn't. Mine is 'hip' and 'irreverent' and 'cool', its just about the best blog you'd ever find. I write about all kinds of things." said John.

"Why?" asked Bill.

"Because people need to know" said John.

"Know what, exactly?"

"Well, you don't know until you read it" said John.

"I'm not going to read it. If I want to read someone's opinion on something, I generally look for informed sources, not some low-life degenerate with a MySpace page" said Bill, who was trying to concentrate on the magazine but was thwarted by a low-life degenerate with a flapping jaw.

"I'm not a low-life. What's a degenerate?" asked John.

"Someone who fails to reach a normal level in something, in this case, intelligence" said Bill.

"I'm not a degenerate then either. I went to college" said John.

"A lot of degenerates go to college, its generally what middle to high class degenerates do, instead of getting a job they pretend to better themselves through learning, but, spend their time getting drunk or screwing around making their MySpace page look 'cool' and posting 'irreverent' and 'hip' comments about how the government is bringing us down or how its hard being a pimp" said Bill.

"The government is bringing us down. And, I don't know much about pimping through first hand experience, but, Coby666 on MySpace insists its a hard life" said John.

"See?" asked Bill.

"See what?" asked John.
