Stories are everywhere, moving with everybody, in line in touch in words thoughts and actions, in joys and sufferings; all the while they are in the making in all kinds of places.
I went shopping with my cousin who is presently staying with me, spending her holidays, taking time off from teaching in Riyaadh Saudi Arabia. My cousin had to buy clothes and give them to the tailor.
'This piece looks incomplete , I think it should have some kind of braid or colored piping along the sides to give it a finishing touch'
well' yes, I guess it will look nice if.....I had no idea how it would be....'
we entered a small shop which displayed all sorts of braids pipings threads etc....
'do you have laces? please show us some in blue color'
The word laces' took me to Nottingham Lace Market' and suddenly I got the title
'Looking for Laces' , in empty spaces'
I dress completing graces';
'Hey cousin I got the title for my next article' she smiled back and I know this time SHE had no idea of what I had in mind........
Morning came and I was sitting in the school staffroom where I was asked to report for yet another interview..there was still time...the door opened and a lady attendant brought in a box..'cake madam' for tea break'
'Tea break bell rang and one by one the teachers entered the room..OH so glad to have this off time'
This heat is getting me' my classroom is so stuffy'
Ah we have cake today'
'now how are going to cut it' who's going to cut it?
OH heres madam S......'she is the best distributor among us'
OH really well, I am flattered so lets see..hhmmnn no knife.....no problem.
.anyone got a ruler'?
and there Lo! the cake was cut in nice equal pieces'
A Teachers job well done' Creative thinking leads to creative teaching'
My day was made .I enjoyed my share of the cake.
Then I got the message'
'Madam please come after the weekend'
At least I had a good cup of tea and a tasty piece of cake, though I know it added to the already extra calories of weight I have put on.But I also had a story to write and ideas for many more.
