My Fellow Gatherites; My Apologies, if You've been Offended

A few days ago, in a comment, I think someone said I was a bully. I was shocked at first, but I can see where I might come across like that.

I often come-on strong.

And I'm sorry if you've been offended.

I also want to apologize because I don't comment enough. My slighting of this responsibility to others is due to my obsession to publish. I've been unemployed for over a year now and I'm beating myself up pretty well over it. It's making me surly; and I'm sorry about that.

And I'll apologize for my rampant ignorance and ineptitude. Part of my coming on strong personality leads me to boldly state what I know and what I think. Mild dyslexia and ADD sometimes causes me to mix up my facts. I'm sure it's frustrating for you. Sorry.

It's not my desire to be caustic, abrasive or irritating. For what it's worth, I fight against it. I try to be focused as a humanitarian peace-mongering tree-hugger who believes in Higher Powers, the sanctity of ALL life, and the value of every individual.

Under my gruff exterior I try to nurture a golden heart.

And that's why I want to apologize to those I may have offended.

Bill,
I don't agree with most of your politics it looks like (haven't read your posts yet, but if you're a treehugger we probably disagree here and there), but I know a sincere apology when I see it. I wish we could all just debate without the anger and hatred. But I guess that's a wish for utopia.
As for being unemployed for a year, we've been there. My husband was unemployed for a year and it was devistating to us financially and threw him into a depression. He did finally find a job but it's taken us 4 years to recover. We understand. Hang in there. I don't know if you're a religious man, but I'll pray for you anyway. Hope that doesn't offend you.
You can bully me any day, babycakes. Stay strong, my friend, I like you just the way you are. And I'm sure Donna does, too.

Bill, Dont beat yourself up over but people on here think.
It probally had something to do with politics.
Noone agrees with everyone all the time.
I dont find you as a bully at all.

I think you are taking on a tad more blame than is necessary. Most of us have been in a position where we got a little too vehement about our cause, but a brief apology is fine.

You have stated your case well and I find the tone sincere. I have not come across any instance of you being abrasive, caustic or irritating. Sometimes it happens unintentionally. In any case it is better you stay strong and stand by your principles.

Bill, I've never found you to be a bully. It is so nice of you to apologize, though i think whatever you may have done is so much milder than a lot of other people...
