Sorry to disappear!

To those of you who check in regularly and give me such great feedback, I'm sorry I disappeared suddenly and without warning. On Tues Aug 22nd I was struck unexpectedly with viral menengitis, It hit me out of the blue while home alone at night. When my hus. returned home almost 4 hours later I was on the floor, convulsing and unconcious. It happened between 7:30 and 11:30 at night Tues and I woke up in the hospital 4am Thursday. It has been a painful road back. I do not reccommend diving headfirst into a ceramic dog dish on a stone floor if you can avoid it!

Anyway, the one remaining downside is the result of the fall. I have been diabetic since I was 9 months old. When I fell and hit my head it caused some bleeding in the back of my eyes. My vision right bow is poor. The blood is slowly reabsorbing on its own and I'm scheduled for laser surgery on Sept. 18th. They tell me a few days after that I'll be as good as I was if not like new. Until then my participation on Gather will be limited. I did however have my husband read all the articles that were sent while I was away and they all made me smile! :-)
