The last hurdle has been hurdled. Our passsports now have valid visas for the Islamic Republic of Iran in them. All I need to do now is buy the airline tickets, pack and wait. I am actually going to see Persepolis, Isfahan, Meshed, the Temple of the Fire Worshippers in Yezd and the Gunbad-i-Kavus. Khorasan, here I come. I am so excited. This trip really is like a dream come true.

Have a great time and take lots of pictures.
I want to see the natural beauty of Iran.
I'm not sure where Flounder gets his info, it's likely not reality-based. I doubt he's actually been to or knows much about the country he's disparaging.
Best wishes on your trip. It is refreshing and enightening to hear first-hand accounts from other countries. It strikes me that dealing with fundamentalism is a challenge faced by both the US and Iran.
(Waves to Sean-Paul... do keep in touch, and enjoy!)
I sent it this morning. I'll resend it.

What a beautiful country, made more so by the agglomeration of cultures there.
