This happened years ago. My wife and I always enjoyed watching animals and birds. We had put out bird feeders and decided to put out some hummingbird feeders.
I was looking out the window at the bird feeders. The hummingbirds had just started coming to the feeders in the last few days and I was paying more attention to them than normal. There were several bees around the hummingbird feeder. It seems they like sugar water too. A hummingbird approached the feeder and was about to drink when a bee came up and the hummingbird flew to the other side. The bee followed and the hummingbird flew up and lit on a limb.
"Hey, Baby", I called to my wife. "Come here. I think I saw a bee chase a hummingbird away from the feeder." She came over and we both watched.
A minute of two later the same thing happened. The bee chased the hummingbird from one side to the other, and then chased him father away. He stayed behind the hummingbird for five or six feet. I probably would not have believed it if I had not seen it.
Can you picture a little bee chasing a hummingbird?
