Moya, our home is surrounded by trees. I'm waiting for the Autumn leaves. I remember as a child, shuffling through the russet foliage on the High Road.

I love the analogy here, Moya, not to mention the people the leaves represent.

My biggest problem with autumn is raking the blighters--the leaves, not the people!

top notch poem! I love nature anthropomorphized in haikus and senryus. gorgeous, evocative image. I used to have a pin in high school that said "old people rock". Why did I share? Oh,...um... I guess leaves do too?
