River Roars Below
Covered bridge of yore
Saw horses, wagons, cars, trucks
Now echoes footsteps
Hosts tank tops and frayed cutoffs
People flashed for descendants

great to be there on the bridge looking down
I just looked at the ODOT site of covered bridges. The state's pride in their covered bridges is magnificent. Like our eastern bretheren I didn't know we had so many of them. Well, the then-and-now pictures on this site along with histories and facts about each bridge have certainly corrected that notion! Thank you so much for sharing it.
