"I've missed over 9,000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I've been trusted to take the game-winning shot...and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed."
It's hard to remember, in the midst of failing, that failing is what will bring me success.
A good batting average for a baseball player is in the 300s. That number means that the player is hitting the ball only about 1/3 of the time. That means, the majority of the time, the player misses the ball.
We can't be perfect. We can't always win. It's our failures that bring us wisdom. Learning from our failures brings us to success.

Success is not your best friend. There is little to learn from success.
It is error which is your best friend. From it you can learn much.
